Clement J. Epplin

	Clement J. Epplin, age 84, of Pinckneyville, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 23, 2003 at his home in Pinckneyville.
	Clement was born on May 18, 1919 in Pinckneyville, the son of Joseph S. and Emma K. (Endres) Epplin.  He was a retired farmer and was a member of the St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville and of the Knights of Columbus #2921.  Clement was a decorated veteran who served in the United States Army during World War II.  Clem touched many lives by his generosity to his family, church and community.
	Survivors include three brothers, twin brother Clarence Epplin of Florissant, Mo., Joe Epplin of Pinckneyville and Albert Epplin of Pinckneyville; a special friend, Florence Alstat of Pinckneyville; 23 nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives.
	He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Edward Epplin and Carl Epplin and a sister, Agnes Bruns.
	Funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26 at the St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville with Father Brian Barker officiating.  Interment was in the St. Bruno Cemetery.
	Visitation was held at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville on Tuesday, November 25 from 6 until 9 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 8 until 9:30 a.m.  A prayer service was recited on Wednesday at 9 a.m.
	Memorials may be made to St. Bruno School Endowment Fund.
